The New Paltz College Big Band
The New Paltz Big Band is a group dedicated to playing jazz big band music from years past and the years to come. The band is made up of members of the SUNY New Paltz student body and community forming in the fall of 2024.
Heading the lineup are the three founding members and trio of bandleaders Vincent Mandracchia (Guitar), Daniel Palladino (Drums) and Enzi Pascarella (Alto Sax). The lineup varies in size from 14-17 players depending on the piece and plays in various styles from Straightahead jazz to modern funk to fusion and even experimental styles. NPBB’s current set will consist of:
Saxophone section: Enzi Pascarella, Durant Poole, Myles Lino, Devin Brooks, Alexa Morgan
The Brass section houses: Jacob Kenny, Seth Harary, Aileen Pastrana, Matt Hoffman, Aidan Sears
Keeping the Rhythm section together are: Vincent Mandracchia, Dan Palladino, Conor Costello, Felix Villa Santa, Nick Schachter, and Lindsay Connoly.
