Orrin Evans:

As a daring pianist, Evans combines raw-edged vigor and left-field nuance into a sound wholly his own. As an adventurous composer he traverses stylistic boundaries with abandon, drawing on full-throttle swing, deep rooted blues, expressive soul or bracing excursions into the avant-garde. As an audacious bandleader, he delights in daring fellow musicians to take bold risks, whether in mutable small group settings or his raucous Captain Black Big Band. As an inventive collaborator, his projects range from the nerve-rattling collective trio Tarbaby, to the guitar/piano duo project Eubanks-Evans-Experience, and Brazilian project Terreno Comum.

Marianne Solivan:

Solivan has made a name for herself as a hard swinging, passionate, vocalist who has a commanding stage presence and is able to captivate audiences with her joyous exuberance and whit.  Having performed and recorded with the likes of Christian McBride, Peter Bernstein, Jeremy Pelt, Bruce Barth, Gregory Hutchinson, Jonathan Blake, Xavier Davis, Michael Kanan, Steve Wilson, Gene Bertoncini and Lewis Nash, Solivan has been consistently raising the bar for singers of her generation.

Jeremy Pelt:

Jeremy Pelt has become one of the preeminent young trumpeters within the world of jazz. Forging a bond with the Mingus Big Band very early on, as his career progressed, Pelt built upon these relationships and many others which eventually lead to collaborations with some of the genre's greatest masters. These projects include performances and recordings with Cliff Barbaro, Keter Betts, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Ravi Coltrane, Frank Foster, Winard Harper, Jimmy Heath, Vincent Herring, John Hicks, Charli Persip, Ralph Peterson, Lonnie Plaxico, Bobby Short, Cedar Walton, Frank Wess, Nancy Wilson and The Skatalites, to name a few.

Byron Landham:

Byron Christopher Landham (aka) "Wookie" was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 16th, 1969. He is the youngest of six children (four girls and two boys). His older brother Robert began studying clarinet and saxophone at the age of 12. Byron, being influenced by his brother and naturally being around all genres of music, took an interest in the drums at the of 7. At the age of 10 he enrolled at Settlement Music School where he studied classical percussion and jazz drumming. The freedom of creative expression in jazz was appealing to Byron, and became his main focus. By the time he graduated from high school, he was a top call on the Philly jazz scene. In 1992, his musical prowess had earned him steady work with some of the finest musicians in the world.

That includes stints with the late great Betty Carter, George Coleman, Bobby Hutcherson, Joey DeFrencesco, Frank Wes, Pat Martino, Cyrus Chestnut, Russell Malone, Ruth Naomi Floyd, Hannibal Lokumbe and the Liberation Orchestra, and most recently a 3 year stint with six time Grammy Award winner Dave Sanborn. Byron Has recorded on at least fifty cd's to his credit as well as co-produced Joey DeFrancesco's Grammy nominated cd "Never Can Say Goodbye" tribute to the late Michael Jackson.
