This night will feature original music along with readings from David's new book, co-written with Pete Seeger, entitled Chopping Wood: Thoughts and Stories of a Legendary American Folksinger. The evening will also be shared by Matt Emmer, who, along with Jacob, was once part of Power of Song—the singing arm of the Clearwater organization.
It promises to be a special night of music and uplifting stories to keep us motivated for the future.
Gotham River is a Beacon, NY-based father-and-son folk duo comprised of David Bernz and Jacob Bernz. They play songs from the Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie catalog, which heavily influenced them as musicians. Their repertoire includes songs of social consciousness as well as original compositions in that vein. Jacob has written more than 1,000 original songs.
