Bridge Arts is a community-based non-profit that promotes education and collaboration as a means to grow a more diverse and innovative music community.
The Hudson Valley Youth Jazz Orchestra, directed by Dan Shaut, is the region's premiere youth jazz orchestra. Open to students 18 years of age or younger by audition, HVYJO comprises of some of the top student musicians from a four-county region. HVYJO performs collegiate/professional level music and gives students an opportunity to work alongside each other, as well as top-tier guest artists. Recent guests have included Steve Wilson, Gary Smulyan, Laurel Massé’, Roland Vazquez, the Analog Jazz Orchestra, Michael Philip Mossman and Dennis Mackrel.
